Quentin Tarantino has consistently produced astounding original movies, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds , and Django Unchained already known as classics.
With such a distinct style, cinephiles have always wondered what a Tarantino-directed franchise movie would look like, never believing such a project o ever become a reality.
Earlier this year, some surprising news emerged: the auteur has reportedly had discussions with JJ Abrams about directing a Star Trek movie.
According to those reports, one of the stipulations was the movie — which, if everything goes according to plan, will be distributed by Paramount — be R-Rated.

Writers to have been involved in the writers room included The Revenant 's Mark L. Smith, Godzilla vs. Kong 's Lindsey Beer, Iron Man 3' s Drew Pearce, and The Simpsons ' Megan Amram.
The Hollywood Reporter now says Smith has boarded the project as the main writer, meaning the possible (still unconfirmed) blockbuster would be directed by Tarantino, produced by JJ Abrams, and written by the person behind The Revenant. Quite the combination.
Before the untitled-Star Trek movie takes flight, though, Tarantino will direct an as-yet-untitled ninth movie, set in 1969 and backdropped by the Manson Family murders.
