Marketing Executive - £18k to £20k - 12 month contract poss temp to perm

An opportunity has arisen for a Marketing Executive to cover maternity leave for 12 months with a possibility to move temporary to permanent. The role will be to manage the marketing and communications activity in order to drive awareness and interest for prospective applications to this educational organisation. Maintaining a fantastic relationships and communications with existing customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an exceptionally creative management team, creating a new vision and new possibilities for marketing in the organisation..
Key areas of responsibility:
*To oversee and assist with the deliver the annual marketing strategy and deliver an integrated communications plan.
*To oversee the design, and production of all marketing literature (Newsletters, web content etc).
*To proactively seek opportunities to increase awareness and positive coverage of the organisations achievements through PR and other communications mediums.
*To drive new enquiries and applications, through various initiatives including targeted marketing literature, website, PPC and events.
*Writing editorial and copy for various internal presentations, including quarterly partner marketing reports, marketing communications pieces, press releases, and regularly updating the website content.
*Building strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation and developing strong communications channels with the consumer.
Person specification/skills required:
*Strong academics and educated to a minimum of degree level and/or professional qualifications such as CIM/CIPR
*A proven track record of managing marketing and communications activity at a professional level.
*Previous experience within the education sector is desirable but certainly not a must have.
*Excellent communications and organisational skills.
*Good presentation skills with the ability to influence all levels.
*Event management skills with the ability to drive attendance at events.
*Previous experience of managing and updating Content Management Systems (CMS), preferably with knowledge of Wordpress.
*Any applicant must be creative and ideas driven, willing to introduce new and exciting marketing techniques.
