UK Sales Director- Travel Technology
The Company
My client are a highly reputable provider of SaaS based online travel management solutions, enabling businesses to improve the performance of their travel procurement processes and to reduce their travel expenditure. They service Blue-Chip Enterprise clients and also, Travel Management Companies (TMC's). They are well renowned for their exemplary client retention rates, typifying their approach and attitude to business- providing exceptional products, business ethos, excellent implementation, delivery and customer service teams which ensure that the clients are able to achieve their set objectives. The business is currently very well known in the European markets and they are looking to appoint a UK Sales Director to drive the business forward in the UK.
The Role
This appointment of this individual is of great significance to the strategic vision of the business, with the objective to build a UK based sales business, reporting directly to the European CEO.
The key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
*Building the brand awareness of the proposition in the UK
*Create the UK's sales strategy and working closely with the CEO, VP Business Development, VP Marketing and additional senior level stakeholders
*To establish, drive and oversee key relationships within the travel industry- both with TMC's and Enterprise clients in the UK
*To be a brand ambassador, representing the businesses key vision and values
The Individual
To be considered for the position of UK Sales Director, it is essential that you are motivated by being given full autonomy to create and drive a business from scratch. It is likely that you are currently employed in a Sales Director, VP Business Development or Head of Sales role in the UK, within the travel industry. In addition to this, you will have experience of the following:
*10 years + Commercial experience
*Previous experience of setting up and growing a successful sales operation within the Travel industry
*Are a highly strategic leader and motivator
*Strong knowledge of the travel sector, ideally having commercial experience within the B2B Travel Technology industry. Although exceptional individuals without previous B2B travel technology experience will be considered, if you have successful experience of growing a sales business within the travel industry and contacts with TMC's and Enterprise clients.
*You are a highly innovative forward thinking individual, who is a strong relationship builder at senior level and an excellent problem solver
