
This London based charity is looking to recruit a Service Development Manager to work closely with the Head of Service Development. This role will be London base to cover England.
The charity's goal is to achieve the maximum improvement in End of Life Care through provider partnerships, and in doing so sustain/develop their business. The Service Development Manager will have a key role in leading local initiatives and national projects to achieve this aim. The role requires a proven track record in business development and the clear ability to operate successfully at board level with stakeholders from the NHS and other bodies.
Duties will include:
Developing intelligence gathering processes to ensure existing and future charity services are competitive and attractive to commissioners
Contribute towards the development of Caring Services strategy
Take responsibility for the service and commercial success of defined areas
Supporting the formulation of the Charity's proposition to defined target areas
Engaging with target NHS customers and building relationships
Leading the development of new service offers
Manage development of budgets and delivery targets across Service Development
Lead the development of partnerships with defined charitable, public or private sector bodies in line with the overall strategy and local plans
Candidates applying will be educated to degree level of the equivalent in experience. You will have extensive experience in business development or consulting/advisory work provided in a competitive environment. Relevant experience of pitching, developing and securing funding for organisations is essential. Candidates with a commercial/private sector background would be desirable.
