Dynamic SME media/technology company based in West London is seeking a Finance Director/CFO to head up their Finance Function looking after their subsidiary companies which includes:- music and events, brand advocacy and social media.
Working in a start-up situation, they will be looking for the Finance Director to strategise and implement financial processes for the launch of this amazing 'world class' product. They are looking for a proven track record of supporting SME businesses plus personal experience of performing a senior finance role and achieving results. You will be 'energised' and passionate about taking the company from inception through to success and driving the business forward. Commercialism and ability to think outside the box essential combining both strategy and hands-on involvement with the day to day responsibilities of running the finance division plus acting as an important advisor to the CEO across the business.
A background in the technology or media/communications industry will be most valuable to understand the culture and nature of this fast-moving industry. Drive, passion and commitment to being at the heart of the business is essential.
The Role:-
Ambitious FC or hands-on FD with entrepreneurial flair and proven track record in the media or technology industry sectors.
Responsibilities will include:-
Setting up financial processes from scratch
Commercial strategy and establishing financial infrastructure
Producing management and financial accounts
Developing and implementing accounting and IT systems
Providing financial advice and guidance to CEO, Senior Executive Team and shareholders
Cash management, Forecasting, Budgets
You will offer:-
Accountancy qualification (pref)
Industry sector experience from media or technology
Excellent communication skills
Commercial acumen
Passion for SME business and to play integral part for business success
