Debt Litigation Fee Earner/Paralegal wanted for rewarding opportunity with one of the UK's leading law firms in debt recovery at their office based in Leeds. Salary at a competitive rate.
Acting for both commercial and consumer organisations throughout the UK, my client was recently ranked number one debt recovery provider in Yorkshire by the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK Guide.
Working as part of a team, the role involves undertaking the full process, from chasing debt to managing the legal process including issuing proceedings to gain a charging order or an order for sale.
The successful Fee Earner/Paralegal will be dealing with both inbound and outbound calls and written correspondence, negotiating payment arrangements and liaising with courts and bailiffs to achieve maximum payout from debtors, right up to litigation and proceedings. Additionally you will be liaising with employers regarding attachments of earnings, resolving complex queries and working to strict compliance and regulations at all times. Knowledge and experience of issuing charging orders and forced sale is essential. In addition, you will have the knowledge to issue and serve a County Court Claim Form and knowledge of Warrants of Execution.
To succeed in this role you need to bring with you previous experience of debt litigation and the ability to work with your clients, advising on the best approach to reach a satisfactory outcome. As a person, you will be very confident, driven and target orientated.
