Founded in 2007 this privately owned organisation provides bespoke software development and support services to an array of large and small clients. Voted the fastest growing Red Hat premier partner in 2012 they are dynamic in their approach and expanding rapidly. It is due to this expansion that they are now seeking an IT Support Analyst / 1st Line Support Engineer to join the team.
Reporting to the Support Manager the 1st Line Support Engineer / IT Support Analyst will answer end-user support requests received via email, online forms and the telephone. Working at the forefront of the support department you will prioritise and log support requests, liaise with clients remotely to diagnose, fix and image problems and escalate issues to 2nd/3rd line support and systems administrators where necessary.
To qualify... You will need to be a customer focussed, technology savvy IT professional (1st Line Support Engineer / IT Support Exec or similar) with skills/experience that covers the following:
- Strong commercial experience gained within an IT, IT training or other IT related role.
- Good people skills, you should be comfortable talking to end-users, handling support queries and providing one-to-one coaching on bespoke applications.
- Supporting PCs running Windows XP or later including setting up, installing and configuring software.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- First class English communication skills (written and spoken).
Any exposure to OS X or Linux would be advantageous as would any knowledge of HTML and CSS
