Employing nearly 2000 people, our client is a privately owned tech business with a reputation for delivering innovative IT and business processes to private and public sector companies. Launching a new apprenticeship programme they aim to help young people progress their careers within the emerging digital sectors. This role offers you the unique opportunity to pass on your valuable skills and experience to enthusiastic digital and creative media apprentices.
Ideally a fully qualified Assessor with a teaching background, you will work with up to 20 apprentices at any one time, coaching them through their qualifications, providing the necessary advice and support needed to help them achieve their goals. Apprentices learn about: Writing for the web, using social and digital media in a business environment, web design, images and animation, research techniques, principles of good web design, technical development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), presentation skills, marketing and much more.
To qualify: You should have a background providing Training/Mentorship or be a qualified assessor (ideally with a teaching background) combined with:
- A passion for developing the skills of young people in creative and digital careers.
- Experience of digital marketing and/or web development including its application in a business setting.
- Strong IT literacy skills
- A strong interest in the web and how it is developing as an engine of business.
- Good team working skills.
- Good organisation and administration skills.
Any prior exposure to training young people is advantageous as is any formal teaching qualifications.
