The Client:
Our client are an international energy consultancy working with a portfolio of clients boasting major high profile companies across all sectors and industries. They are currently looking for an Account Manager to join the Renewables Account Management team.
The Role:
• Maximise client value via successful relationship management, retention and business development opportunities
• Responsible for the account management of a number of clients who have contracted with the company to deliver renewable and generation projects including PPA procurement activities
• Build client relationship through quality service delivery, management of issues, regular communication and effective expectation setting
• Planning and prioritising contract renewals in line with business objectives and escalating potential risks to line manager
• Contract renewal
• Identify/pursue business opportunities to maximise value
• Recognition of any perceived competitor threats
• Provision of market/procurement information and maintenance of system records
• Record client feedback and take effective and appropriate action when necessary
• Discuss and agree with client the relevant site list and volumes to be tendered (pre tender report); present results to client and make recommendations
• Liaise with Supplier Liaison team for contract negotiations, credit check issues, supplier objections
• Liaise with client on prices and general market conditions
Candidate Requirements
Essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills
• Renewable energy background academic or professional
• Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills
• A commercially aware attitude
• Ability to liaise with adjacent departments such as Data Analysis, Data Management and Supplier Liaison
• Ability to produce detailed and accurate information on a timely basis in line with customer expectations
Desirable
• Some exposure and understanding of trading activity in the UK gas and electricity markets
• Well-developed knowledge of energy supply contracts and price structure
• A general knowledge of understanding of UK and European energy markets, procurement products and customer service provision to the UK energy users
