
My client is a 4*hotel in Central London and is offering the excellent opportunity to join their team as a Meeting and Events Sales Manager. This is a sales role with a salary of 30-35k + benefits.
Your role as Meeting and Event Sales Manager will be to proactively seek and develop new sales opportunities and to identify and develop relationships with key clients.
Accountability
- Maximise revenue streams from all clients
- Develop new business opportunities creating and executing proactive revenue opportunities inline with budget targets for Meetings and Events
- Respond and follow up all Sales opportunities and leads as advised by DOS and Reactive M&E team
- Actively seek and support promotions and marketing opportunities for the hotel
- Monitoring relevant promotional activities and keeping an active eye on competitor performance
- Address complaints and resolve problems
- To help maintain a highly motivated team with high standard of service
Primary Duties: - Organise showrounds and sales appointments for new and existing clientele
- Develop good working relationships with booking agents nationally
- Office visits and Presentations where required
- Arrange regular FAM trips with Key Agents and Corporate Companies onsite
- Utilise software for all Meeting and Event details, setting proactive cold / chase calls and activities to secure the business and to encourage a return
- Approach new business with a strategic plan
- Account manage key and prospect clients in an effective way
- Take responsibility to an allocated portfolio of existing accounts and continue to increase YOY revenue
- Website updates on a weekly basis
- Lapsed business calls for events enquired & booked in the month previous year, 3 months in advance
- Assist and participate in hotel open day 2 x a year, raising awareness and conducting show rounds
- Updating client data and sales report in the sales system and provide weekly sales reports
- Drive to assist in increasing Sales volume and profitability by developing and executing projects for assigned market areas
- Accept flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel and guests
Candidate will have
- Solid proactive sales experience
- London knowledge of the market
- Proven hotel or venue sales experience
