The Organisation
The Green Recruitment Company is representing an award winning global engineering firm that provides a full range of environmental services and has a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality of work. They have a strong track record in the iron ore industry and have provided excellent services to their customers through the delivery of a number of major iron ore projects executed from the UK over recent years. The range of services provided includes environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA), mine closure and restoration projects, integrated water management, environmental management plans and development of feasibility studies.

The Role:
The company are currently recruiting for an experienced Environmental Engineer to join their expanding team in London, and potentially relocate to Houston, Texas for one year.


Duties will include:
• Execution of scopes of work including task and project management;
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Project reporting
• Client relationship building
• Project-based Client liaison.
• You must be able to work in the US, as extensive work in Houston will be required.

Experience and skills

• Relevant degree in environmental science and / or environmental management, post-graduate degree regarded favourably
• Preferable: membership of relevant professional institution
• Experience / Skills:
• A solid and experienced Environmental Engineer
• Relevant experience of at least 10 years, including recent experience of 3 years in North Sea.
• Experience in international project delivery
• Experience in environmental management, engineering and / or science
• Knowledge of international standards pertaining to resource sector projects
• Demonstrable experience in and competency with
• Microsoft Office suite of products
• Excellent communication skills including demonstrable presentation and workshop facilitation skills
• Excellent reporting skills
