Founded in 2002, this privately owned organisation specialises in providing technical support, computer services, and consulting to SME’s throughout London and the UK. Partnering with Microsoft, HP, Cisco, Dell and Apple (to name just a few) this established tech business services over 100 clients creating highly tailored, bespoke, technical solutions for each one. Due to ongoing expansion they are now seeking a Service Delivery Manager to join the team.
Joining as a Service Delivery Manager you will lead, manage and mentor a small team (10-12) of service desk engineers ensuring clients receive the best possible resolutions to their technical enquiries. Naturally you will have an understanding of Windows Technology however the emphasis of this role is on leading a team to deliver high service levels rather that the technology itself.
As a key member of the management team you will be involved with ensuring service delivery standards are the best they can be, improving IT usage, team productivity and driving problem resolutions along the way. Involved with making the service desk the best it can your responsibilities will also include designing and maintaining documentation for the service desk team; ensuring higher technical issues are solved promptly; providing team training on processes, procedures and internal software (e.g. ConnectWise, Labtech) and much more.
To qualify... You will need to be a customer focussed, technology savvy Service Delivery professional with skills/experience that covers the following:
- Good understanding of Microsoft technology including: Windows platforms; Microsoft Server platforms and Microsoft Office versions.
- Familiarity with connectivity including routers, firewalls and security.
- In-depth knowledge of ConnectWise, Labtech and other similar applications.
- Prior experience gained within a similar role, leading a service desk team.
- Strong team leadership / management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the natural ability to build a rapport easily and discuss technical matters.
- Excellent problems solving skills, this should include the foresight to identify technical problems prior them to becoming critical issues.
