The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company is representing an award winning firm that specialises in developing utility solar energy across the UK.

The Role:

Responsible for assessing compliance with Health & Safety legislation in order to promote the well-being of employees in the workplace and to avoid exposure to risk.

Duties will include:

Develop and maintain the Health & Safety policies and procedures to facilitate and ensure compliance with the legislative requirements.
Interpret and provide advice and guidance to all departments pertaining to the policies and procedures.
Advise management of training requirements to ensure legislative compliance.
Design and conduct relevant in house training.
Conduct workplace audits to minimise or alleviate unsafe workplace conditions.
Conduct site specific risk assessments.
Lead the investigation of the causes and effects of workplace accidents to identify and determine effective remedial actions.
Ensure the client remains legally compliant under the CDM regulations
Coordinate project works and provide information as necessary on the effectiveness of the CDM Co-Ordinator outsourced service.
Preparation of reports to the Management Team.

Experience and skills:

A sound working knowledge of health and safety legislation including Health and Safety at Work Act and Construction Design and Management Regulations
Full driving licence.
Ideally 5 years’ experience within construction health & safety.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to influence key stakeholders in the business.
Flexible approach to working hours.
NEBOSH Diploma
