The Green Recruitment Company is representing a leading international marine engineering consultancy.

A recent vacancy has opened up for a skilled Marine consultant to join the team in Aberdeen. Our client is looking for a candidate who is willing to work for a number of clients, including major oil, vessels, and insurance and legal entities.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess the following qualities and experiences
• Ability to prepare procedures and detailed reports on marine operations
• Marine casualty and incident investigations
• General cargo surveying
• Participation at a senior level
• General marine consultancy
• Offshore vessel assurance (including DP operations and maintenance)
• Experience is offshore (North Sea) marine operations such as rig moving on vessels and/ or rigs
• Vessel assurance including general marine inspections (IMCA, CMID)

Qualifications and Experience:
BSc (essential) and MSc/PhD (essential) In Marine Biology or Zoology
Some Experience of environmental consultancy (desirable)
Some experience of project management (desirable)
Knowledge of renewable energy market (desirable)
Environment knowledge of the coastal and marine environmental (essential)
Report writing and presentation skills (essential)
Financial management and administration (essential)
Excellent communication and management skills (essential)
