This London based charity is looking to recruit a Senior Major Gifts Manager to work closely with Head of Major Gifts & Special Events. Please note that you must be willing to travel.
The Senior Major Gifts Manager will be required to drive forward a strategy for generating major gifts from across the charity's community fundraising networks, maximising involvement and support from regional colleagues and the county Patron's in the major gift process. The post will also manage the development of a mid-value strategy to significantly increase the funds received in from individuals and trusts. This role will be managing a small team of 4 Major Gift Managers/Executives and up to 4 staff.
Duties include:
Lead, implement and manage the development of major gift fundraising
Initiate supportive relationships with future and existing donors
Create an annual plan outlining strategies and processes
Recruit new staff volunteers and Champions
Ensure that volunteers are managed to the highest standard
Raise income with a focus on securing six figure + donations from a portfolio
Initiate regular contact with donors
Help identify and bring new prospects
Candidates applying will be educated to degree level or have the relevant experience. You will have significant experience of fundraising including major donor fundraising together with a track record of having asked for, negotiated and secured gifts.Experience of developing excellent working relationships with internal and external senior people is essential as is the ability to be able to produce consistently high quality, imaginative and compelling written materials; proposals, letters and pitches.
