The Role
Due to their continued success, there is now a requirement for a Technical Author to join them.
You will be responsible for restructuring and re-writing operator manuals and high quality technical copy, with particular emphasis on communicating the potential applications of products to prospective customers in a wide range of markets.
Your writing will be used in a range of marketing collateral including feature articles, case studies, press releases, web copy, e-newsletters and sales brochures, to promote the company and associated brands within UK, regional and international media. You will also be responsible for overseeing the translation of copy into different languages as required.
The Candidate
You should have a technical background, ideally in engineering or physics and a proven ability for writing excellent technical English. You will need to have good research skills to gather information for use in case studies, application engineering reports and feature articles.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a good communicator and team player, with the ability to work on your own initiative with good attention to detail.
Candidates must have:
- A good understanding of Mathematics
- A highly organised approach to work with a high level of IT literacy is a prerequisite.
- Experience of writing operator manuals
- Experience within a Technical Author or copywriting role
- Experience of writing copy for feature articles, case studies, press releases, web, e-newsletters, sales brochures, and social media is expected
