The client and role:

We are currently working alongside a major energy consultancy that assists high profile clients in reducing their energy consumption. They are looking for an experienced Energy Analyst to join a growing team. This varied role provides a fantastic opportunity for an applicant with strong analytical and mathematical skills to apply them in a commercial operation and to gain exposure to many areas of the business.


Job Purpose:

To deliver all contracted analytical services relating to clients utility spend and add value to client data in order to ensure that delivery of service meets the client’s expectations. Where appropriate all viable savings opportunities need to be identified and implemented to the client’s satisfaction.


Accountabilities:

• Delivery of contracted validation services and reporting services.
• Support for supply chain audits and retrospective audits etc.
• To take responsibility for the accuracy of the data on the specified accounts including the management of the acquisition of incomplete data.
• Analyze client accounts in order to ensure that all savings opportunities are identified.
• Gain commitment to, and implement, saving opportunities in a timely manner in accordance with the expectations of both the customer our client.
• Deliver reports in conjunction with the contracted services.
• Prepare and validate data prior to procurement activities. Support for data issues during the procurement process.
• Maintain comprehensive ICMAS records in accordance with defined procedures to facilitate the management of service delivery and support company management information systems and forecasting.
• Undertake specific one-off tasks as required in order to support the team’s performance.


Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in the industry within an analytical position is vital
• Strong analytic and numeric skills essential
• A high standard of oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to apply a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experienced with Microsoft Excel. Some experience of IT programming, SQL or Microsoft Access is needed
