The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company is representing a well-established multi-national company within
the UK Onshore/Offshore Wind Energy Sector. They are in the process of expanding operations and
looking for a high quality structural engineer to lead improvements and developments.

The Role:
In this role you will be responsible for consultancy services within the wind energy sector. You will be
involved in the development and design of cast and welded wind turbine structures, working closely
with structural analysis engineers, manufacturing, O&M, service and procurement.

The role will also involve extensive involvement in the development of offshore foundations
including calculations methods for specific structural engineering issues. There will also be an
element of client facing working so the successful candidate needs to have the ability to present
proposals and tenders.

Experience and skills:
The successful candidate will have completed university studies in mechanical or civil engineering
preferably with the focus on structural design. Chartered status is essential. If this is not the case
then the applicant must be in the position to imminently submit a chartership application.

You will need to demonstrate several years of experience in the field of project design and structural
analysis. Technically you will have a deep knowledge of 3D CAD, structural assessment ideally
SESAM, USFOS or ABAQUS. This position requires a strong English speaker both written and verbally.

*Ability to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and relevant HSE standards.

*Ability to recommend and implement improvements to internal systems and process.
