Joining a busy legal practice that employs over 50 people, the Desktop Support Technician / IT Support Technician will provide key input into all technical matters. Liaising with people across all areas of the business you will utilise your aptitude for computers, problem solving skills and personable approach to support internal users who are having technical issues whilst championing the wider technical picture, which includes the website and intranet.
In summary, it will be your input that ensures internal users receive swift resolution to their support queries (1st, 2nd and some 3rd line support); day to day administration of servers, users and backups; user training and the maintenance and development of website and intranet.
To qualify... You should be a customer service focussed Desktop Support / IT Service Desk Technician who can demonstrate:
- Windows trouble shooting skills.
- Good understanding of PCs including set-up and configuration.
- Experience supporting Microsoft based operating systems.
- Experience of Windows Server 2003/2008.
- Experience troubleshooting Microsoft Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal with keen attention to detail.
- The ability to be self-motivated, prioritise tasks in accordance with deadlines and requirements.
- An interest / some knowledge in web development.
- A passion for IT, computers and excellent customer service.
