Utilising PHP, MySQL, HTML5 and CSS you will input expertise on both front and back end development (roughly 50/50 split between PHP and Front End) whilst working across the full end-to-end delivery of web projects. Working alongside other digital experts you will act as the lead developer championing the development/build process, it is therefore essential that you work well with others and can demonstrate an exceptional grasp of the core technologies mentioned.
To qualify... We are seeking a PHP Developer / PHP Web Developer with strong Front End skills who is comfortable working on digital projects from the ground up. In other words, you should possess:
- Solid web development skills covering: PHP, MySQL, HTML5/CSS, JavaScript and jQuery skills.
- A solid technical background, it doesn’t matter if you’ve got a CS degree or are self taught.
- A good understanding of object orientated programming principles/design patterns.
- Proficiency with OO PHP and experience of developing with JavaScript or other object-oriented languages.
- Comfortable writing SQL and designing relational database schemas.
- MVC and DRY coding patterns.
- Best practice coding (e.g. W3C).
- Feed integration (RSS / XML).
Any exposure to mobile web / responsive design is advantageous.
