The Organisation:
The Green Recruitment Company represents a prominent, full-service engineering consultancy advising on bio energy, hydro, wave, tidal and wind projects around the world. Services include site selection, EIA, planning, due diligence, construction monitoring.

The Role:
The successful candidate will join a new team to spearhead project delivery and expand team operations. The role requires initiative and business acumen in EIA, planning and due diligence work in the UK and abroad.

Senior International Environmental Consultant:
Duties will include:
• Carry out environmental due diligence for various projects
• Advise clients and lenders as and when necessary, including on liability risks and compliance issues, often on-site
• Support the company’s project managers and other teams
• Liaise with key stakeholders
• Support business development

Experience and skills:
• Educated to degree level in relevant science/environmental discipline, ideally with a similar postgraduate.
• Substantial experience at a similar senior level
• Familiar with carrying out environment due diligence projects
• Expert knowledge of relevant international standards (IFC, ADB, EBRD, ILO)
• Proven consultancy team leader with experience in emerging economies
• Experience with ESMP, SEP and ESAP due diligence reporting
• First-class organisation, communication and technical report-writing capabilities
• Proven track record of working alone on own initiative, willing and able to travel when required
