Joining as a Software Architect / Web Platform Technical Lead, you will use your extensive Java, Spring/MVC and API design experience to shape the evolution of their payment engine project. Expect to be involved in:
- API design and road map creation for the high-traffic Payment Engine.
- Giving technical guidance to the development teams responsible for Payment Engine integration.
- Liaising with stakeholders and developers both internally and externally to ensure that concurrent development is efficient and delivers real value in challenging timescales.
- Providing architectural support for the wide-scale adoption of Spring MVC as the company expands its systems to cope with rapidly growing numbers of players.
- Providing recommendations for the introduction of other beneficial new technologies for the next generation Web Platform.
To qualify... You should be a Software Architect / Technical Lead / Web Architect / Java Consultant or similar who can demonstrate:
- A proven track record as an advanced Java Developer and Architect.
- A thorough understanding of Spring/MVC.
- Micro-transaction and billing platform development experience.
- Experience in designing APIs for commercially released products.
- Systems integration planning and execution.
- The ability to quickly understand complex architectures - including proprietary technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with developers, product owners, stakeholders and external organisations alike.
- Experience with high-traffic systems where efficiency and scalability is important.
- Solid estimating and planning of tasks.
- Proficient skills using databases, e.g., PostgresSQL and of using UNIX/Linux.
- Experience of developing using Agile processes.
