The Architects Registration Board (ARB) was established by Parliament in 1997 to regulate the architects’ profession in the UK.
ARB is looking to appoint new Lay Members to its Investigations Pool. Investigations Pool members are responsible for assessing whether complaints about Architects should be referred to the Professional Conduct Committee for a public hearing.
Applicants must:
• Have wide experience issues affecting consumers.
• Have a high level of analytical ability in dealing with voluminous documentation.
• Have good communication skills.
• Be available for an average of 10 hours per month.
Experience of casework and dealing with disputes or complaints is desirable, though not essential.
Training will be provided to the successful applicants, who will be remunerated at £50 per hour (subject to tax and national insurance). Appointments will commence from 1 January 2013.
