The Role
The CDM Coordinator (CDM-C) will fulfil the requirements of a CDM Coordinator as detailed under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2007 primarily during the initial design process of both Wind Farms and Biomass Power Stations, but also through to the construction phase.

The CDM-C will be responsible for updating and administering all internal procedures and templates associated with the CDM process and delivering training to other areas of the business.

The CDM-C will provide support where necessary to the Designers with regard to all aspects of Health and Safety associated with the design of the wind farm for planning applications, attend design reviews and comment as necessary on designs.

Post consent you would be responsible for the tender, contract and management of third party CDM-Cs appointed to carry out the role during the detailed design and construction phase.

Where necessary the CDM-C may be required to act as the CDM-C on construction and operational projects.

Experience

Applicants shall have CDM-C practical experience (minimum 2 years)
An in depth knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2007 and other Health and Safety regulations and law
A recognised safety qualification (minimum NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
Hold professional membership of a British safety institution (eg CMIOSH)
Have an up to date CPD.
Knowledge of the wind industry is not essential, but would be an advantage.
The ability to work alongside the design team,
Good report writing skills and the ability to speak confidently with the Client and Designers
The ability to manage workload and meet demanding timescales on a number of projects simultaneously will be key attributes.
As the role will require travel throughout the UK, a current UK driving licence is required.
