Based in Godalming in Surrey you will be joining an award winning book retailer as part of their highly creative design team. This opening presents you with the opportunity to work across multiple brands creating and implementing innovative layouts and designs of offline campaigns together with digital marketing, email marketing and content solutions across the company’s websites.
Involved in the complete design process from concept generation through to site launches, the Web Designer / Digital Designer will play an important role within the creative/web team, responsible for delivering clear, uncluttered, highly usable designs that span websites to digital marketing streams.
To qualify... We are seeking highly creative Digital/Front End Designers with skills that cover the following:
- Strong commercial experience as a digital designer highlighting a passion for commercial design.
- Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver CS4+.
- An excellent understanding of branding and how it can be implemented online.
- An ability to brainstorm new design ideas.
- Good knowledge of HTML/CSS (with a view to building content pages, emails and social media campaigns).
- Understanding of usability, SEO principles when working with a development team.
- Previous knowledge of working with JavaScript or a CMS would be useful.
- An excellent portfolio of previous commercial work.
