Job Location: East Midlands-Home Based

Salary: Up to £40k + Bonus

The Company

Our client is a leading distributor of Measurement and Control Instrumentation. They have been providing solutions to their clients for over thirty years and they supply to industries including Oil and Gas, Bio-Technical, Power, Utilities, Pharmaceutical and several others. With a range of products from leading manufacturers and a great record for customer service, they have become a leading supplier within their field.  Due to growth within the business, a new position has arisen for a home-based Field Sales Engineer. Whether you are experienced within a similar role, or are looking to develop from an internal position to a field-based role, we would like to hear from you. We would also be keen to talk with engineers from this industry, who would like to move into a sales focussed position.

The Role

As a Field Sales Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring existing customers and Key Accounts receive a high level of service and support, encouraging sales growth for core products and introducing new product sales. You will also be required to win business from new clients, nurturing these new customers to key account status.  Support will be provided by the internal sales team, company management and manufacturer product specialists.

The Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a positive approach to your work and commercial awareness of the position, you will also need a strong personality and be able to manage your own workload. 

Successful candidates must have:

- Knowledge of or a qualification in one of the following areas: measurement and control, instrumentation, mechanical engineering or electronic systems.

- An understanding of process applications (including pressure, temperature, flow, analytical and process control valves)

- The ability to recognise components from control systems, through instrumentation to pipework.
