A fast growing media/ Advertising organisation based in central London urgently requires a Senior MySQL Database Engineer/ Architect. The role requires a professional with considerable experience in high availability tasks such as clustering and replication in order to design disaster recovery plans. The role will also look at the overall database architecture and how it fits in with other critical software within the business such as web development etc.
The role will involve assistance in the design and development of MySQL database, general administrative tasks in MySQL and SQL Server. Due to the OpenSource environment, any experience in OpenSource development tools is highly desirable and experience of working in an Agile environment is key.
Key Skills:
Extensive MySQL Database Administration Experience
High Availability Experience (MySQL Clusters, Replication)
InnoDB, MYISAM Experience
Linux/ UNIX Administration
SQL Server DBA Experience
Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning
Experience working in Agile
Coding Experience in one of the following:Pearl, Python, Ruby, PHP, Java
Excellent Communication Skills
