Job: Teaching Assistant
School: Tring School, Hertfordshire (Secondary School)
Hours: 26.33 hours per week Term Time + 1 week
Payspine: H2/H3 (£14,733 - £16,830 pro rata)
Start date: As soon as possible

Tring School in Hertfordshire are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our skilled and committed team on a permanent full-time basis. You will be working closely with students and teachers supporting the learning of students. You will also be expected to provide support for students requiring Personal Care.
Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- 5 GCSE's A-C or equivalent
- Experience working with KS3/4 students in a learning support capacity
- Experience of leading small groups or working on one to one basis
- Experience of using Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Experience planning, delivering and evaluating programmes of work that meet teaching and learning objectives
- Experience of using ICT
- Ability to show initiative
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
