Introduction
Corporate Performance Management (CPM) Specialist Location: Swindon Salary: £33,107 - £42,303 (dependant upon current salary and banding) Within the largest building society in the world, Nationwide's Financial Performance division drives insight and performance reporting that underpin the successful management of the business. At the heart of our range of technologies is our CPM tool (Longview), which provides us with the ability to analyse, monitor and improve our business performance. Supporting our cost management processes from a planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting perspective the Longview application is crucial to the success of our division.

A more challenging role
We are at a stage in our development where we are forecasting how we want our Corporate Performance agenda to develop at Nationwide, and you will be expected to be a driving force behind the creation, planning, and implementation of the CPM strategy based upon the Longview toolset. Equally, you will be a vital member of our small team of CPM system specialists who are responsible for the support, development and exploitation of the Longview business applications. Working together with all areas of Finance, your focus will be on improvement by identifying and capturing business needs and opportunities. To do this you will be creative, thorough, and disciplined in designing and developing solutions, meticulous in undertaking Systems and User acceptance testing, and approachable when providing a training and coaching capability to our - hundreds of - users.

A more talented person
About you Highly technically competent, you will ideally come from a strong CPM systems background (Longview, Cognos, SAP BPC, Hyperion or similar), blended with a solid accounting background; the need to understand finance processes and terms, and to contextualise those into creative solutions is central to this role. You are a person who is able to consider and develop the longer term CPM strategy, confidently communicating with and influencing senior stakeholders, but who is also equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves and developing models and applications to solve individual business problems. You will have highly developed analytical, technical and problem solving abilities, and be able to organise and plan to achieve tight deadlines.
