‘Quid pro quo’ is what is needed for this great role to join a well established publishing house with a renowned presence in its sector. On your side of the deal you will be selling across a range of legal products including subscriptions, advertising in both print and digital formats as well as delegate sales for related conferences.
There is a significant amount of research involved with this role; the knowledge gained from the research is essential in order to understand your clients, the market and the publications. You need to be articulate, with clear diction on the telephone and comfortable with making intelligent business development calls be able to progress to face to face meetings including some international travel to meet clients. You will need to be a sales motivated graduate or have around 1 years media sales experience in a b2b environment and are now looking around for a changeling new role as your next career move and if you have knowledge of the legal sector that would be amazing, but not a deal killer. Finally, you should be highly adept in doing research, as this is considered essential to understand what makes your potential clients tick and if you speak any major foreign languages (either as mother tongue or second) that’s great.
On the flip side, the company offer strong career prospects, a great salary package and good uncapped commission! Based in their Central London offices there is also the opportunity of some fantastic international travel as you progress in the role.
