Senior Planning and Delivery Risk Manager / Contract / London / £600-£700pd
I am looking for a senior manager with good planning and delivery experience who has worked within Risk. My client a top tier investment bank to join their expanding team based in Central London.
The Senior Manager for Planning and Delivery will manage a team of 4 people responsible for a number of critical operational activities for WRSP Strategic Programme Office, as well as support key activities and updates for Senior Stakeholders and Group Management. This role is critical for the daily operation of SPO and is currently filled by a permanent employee (band F) who has resigned from the role. The current resource will depart at the end of December and it is imperative that a replacement resource is in place to support a suitable handover before the current resource departs. This contractor would be funded from WRSP project funding. Key responsibilities and activities include:
* Manage a number of project managers.
* Responsible for defining and maintaining governance and control across the WRSP Programme.
* Secretariat of the WRSP Programme Steering Group.
* Prepare slide packs and reporting to Committees, both internal and external to the Programme both on a regular and ad hoc basis. This includes CAMRIC (every 4 weeks), Programme Board (every 2 weeks), Senior Stakeholder presentations (ad hoc) and internal and external reporting (continuous).
* Support the maintenance of internal and external Programme dependencies and their incorporation into the Programme Roadmap.
* Support the ongoing refresh and management of the Programme Risks and Issues. Support the Development of the Benefits across the Programme and participate in their ongoing monitoring and management.
* Prepare slide packs and reporting to Committees both internal and external to the Programme both on a regular and ad hoc basis.
* Develop relationship building skills through stakeholder management activities; engaging with the project teams.
* Support the Business Architecture Head in creation of strategic vision and business/functional architecture including ensuring inclusion in project scope, monitoring and evaluation.
* Delivery of both internal and external reporting.
* Challenging and monitoring project progress against plan.
* Delivery of Project and Programme plans.
