
Retail Pre-sales Consultant - London - £80K + Bonus
A fantastic and rare opportunity ahs arisen to join a leading intelligent ecommerce trading solutions provider, with a strong focus on service delivery.
Due to continued growth across all divisions of the business, a senior role has been created to join the existing pre-sales function, supporting sales and business development managers.
Reporting to the European sales director, the pre-sales solution strategist is to support the business development managers (BDM's) in a 'pre-sales' environment by: -
- Developing an understanding of the e commerce and on line retail strategies of customers
- Assisting the BDM in identifying strategic technology opportunities and then engaging the correct skills and resources to progress the development of these opportunities
- Leading and developing key technical/operational relationships with the customer
- Carrying out customer presentations and demonstrations at Board/Director level
- Informing potential customers of the business' benefits of the business' solutions, demonstrating systems abilities and setting customers' expectations and services correctly
- Work with Sales management to ensure realistic view of sales forecast
- Work with deployment teams to effect a smooth transition from presales to delivery
- Keep abreast of competitors' offerings and how to differentiate our offering from them
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of services/products and organisational structure
- T o maintain up-to-date knowledge of potential/current sales pipeline
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of current Processes & Policies
Experience and Technical Attributes
- Strong, positive, proactive and persuasive communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to gain traction with customers
- High degree of commercial acumen, demonstrated by having a track record of delivering revenue growth
- A quick learner, who is able to think on their feet
- You must be able to present credibly in both business and technology contexts
- You will have several years experience selling solutions to retailers and brands
- A strong background in ecommerce, retail IT systems or analytics
- You must have a proven track record as a high achiever and be used to working to and exceeding targets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Expertise such as Business Objects / Omniture / SAAS / Coremetrics
- Knowledge of large and complex integrations
- Knowledge of eCommerce platforms
