Nationwide Direct is a dynamic and growing part of our business, with nearly ¾ of a million calls each month into our Contact Centres. Planning and Support are right at the heart of this operation, providing support and expertise on areas such as Forecasting, Technical Systems Support, Recruitment and Management Information.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our MI Team in Pegasus House in Swindon. Working as part of an energetic and progressive team you will be supporting the Operation helping them provide a world class service to our customers.
A more challenging role
Working within our MI Team you will be responsible for improving and building new databases to produce Operational reporting. As part of any report changes or new builds you will ensure that full testing has been carried out including extensive data validation as well as taking responsibility for the process documentation/ mapping and version controls. You will be required to share your technical knowledge to assist the team with developing their skills as well as providing them with an understanding of the reports that you have implemented or modified. This is a position where you will be required to seek out continuous improvement within the team by challenging the 'status quo' and have the confidence & capability to deliver on your recommendations. The sharing of technical knowledge to enhance and develop the Analysts technical skills is essential as is pro-actively managing relationships with customers across Nationwide Direct and the Nationwide Group.
Knowledge of how a Contact Centre works is desirable but not essential for this role.
A more talented person
The ideal candidate needs to be a self starter as well as being a strong team player and should have a broad understanding of database architecture, solutions design and development as well as advanced PC skills particularly in Excel, including pivot tables, formulae design, creation to aid complex data manipulation, Access and Visual Basic macros. Some knowledge of SAP or SAS is an advantage but not essential. High level problem solving skills are also essential to enable you to identify and provide recommendations to improve processes and any future reporting. A high level of written communication skills is also necessary to produce all testing documentation and build procedure guidelines as is a good level of verbal communication to develop and enhance the team's technical skills. Accuracy and attention to detail is a prerequisite combined with the confidence to create new positive ideas and challenge when necessary. This position demands excellent time management skills and an analyst with a hunger to learn and develop themselves.
