We are currently recruiting for a Finance Director to join a fast growing PE backed travel business based in central London. The role will be responsible for managing the accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), M&A, tax, audit, treasury and financial operations for the Company's growing European business
The position will be a key member of the executive management of the Company and will report to the US-based CFO with a dotted line relationship with the European MD and will manage accounting and finance staffs across Europe.
Managing accounting staff across multiple countries to produce the monthly financials statements and driving a significant reduction in the time to close the monthly accounts
Preparation of the annual budgets and forecasts including detailed variance analysis reporting to senior management.
Coordination and consultation with senior US financial and business management on key financial issues, tasks and projects related to both ongoing operations and acquisition activities as they arise
Developing and implementing the monthly operations review covering variance analysis and key operating and efficiency metrics
Financial due diligence and analysis in support of acquisition activities.
Coordination and integration of new company acquisitions into Company financial systems, policies and procedures.
Developing pricing analysis and control processes
Teaming with the European MD and CFO to drive increased profits across the business including identifying expense reduction and pricing opportunities
Credentials for Position:
Significant experience of managing accounting, financial operations and financial planning and analysis
Strong and proven technical accounting skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills including developing and making presentations to C-level executives
Proven self-starter with experience improving finance functions and driving improved profitability
Experience with implementing new accounting systems
