The main purpose of the job will involve being responsible for all Corporation tax and VAT compliance and reporting, and also to support the financial requirements including group and UK statutory reporting and consolidation accounting.
Your role will include but not limit you to following;
Preparation and submission of monthly intrastat and sales reports. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. Review internal procedures and ensure ongoing company compliance with VAT rules and implement new procedures as required. Preparation and submission of corporation tax workings for all UK entities including quarterly QIP payments and analysis of allowable and dis-allowable expenses. Ensure ongoing company compliance with corporation tax rules and implement new procedures as required. Complete monthly VAT and tax reconciliations. Support monthly US GAAP group reporting requirements to Corporate including responsibility for specific accounting functions such as prepayments and operating leases. Assist with preparation of UK GAAP statutory financial statements including group consolidated accounts. Assist with all external and internal audit requirements taking the lead on tax audits.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with financial accounting background and solid experience of corporation tax and VAT compliance. Have up to date technical knowledge of UK tax and UK/US GAAP financial reporting, Have the ability to prioritise and work accurately to deadlines. Determination to resolve queries in a timely manner and the willingness to exceed expectations, and to develop and motivate staff, leading by example. Excellent Excel skills required.
