The Organisation
Green Recruitment Company has an exciting role for a Business Development Manager to join one of the world’s leading renewable energy developer clients. Our client has years of experience developing large scale wind farms throughout he UK both onshore and offshore.

The Role
The Business Development Manager will work from the office based in Hertfordshire and will be responsible for the growth and development of the offshore renewables division of the company. The role will require the successful candidate to develop the customer base for the engineering and consultancy services on offer to other renewable energy developers, as well as develop the range of services which can be provided.

Responsibilities include:
* Identifying new business opportunities
* Identifying new consultancy services which could be provided
* Identifying ways to increase volume of business
* Developing a business plan and a strategy for achieving that plan
* Developing and maintaining relationships by meeting with existing and potential customers
* Managing contract bids
* Assist the development of the team of staff to ensure business development strategies are deliverable
* Attending seminars and conferences
* Keeping up to speed with the offshore renewables market

Experience and skills

* Previous experience in a Business Development position
* Experience working within an experience based organisation
* Demonstrable experience of securing professional contracts in the region of £200k
* Have good commercial acumen – delivering services to achieve profit targets
* Have good strategic skills to produce business plans
* Be innovative in developing new ideas for services
* Be able to work within a fast growing and constantly developing organisation
* Be able to be persuasive in order to sell services to new and existing customers
* Written and oral communication skills both internally and externally are essential
