Robert Half are currently assisting a service industry provider to recruit a Accounts Team Leader. Great opportunity to join one of the market leaders and utilise your accountancy and people management skills. Suit a CCAB qualified Accountant looking for their first move out of a small practice
This is a varied and challenging role encompassing staff management skills with a good working knowledge of preparing accounts for SME's, VAT returns and Tax allowances etc.· Manage and supervise the workload of the team allocating team members to optimise service provision and administrator support· Ensure that targets regarding service delivery are met· Monitor KPIs for the team and ensure that the relevant information is captured and reported · Manage escalation of customer issues, exceptions and technical questions· Preparation of the monthly management accounts and statutory year end accounts for a number of SME's · Ensure that the team are fully trained and undergo a full development program to ensure that they carry out their role effectively and that they build excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders· Manage the capabilities of the team, ensuring the team have the skills and knowledge to carrying out their role effectively, identifying any gaps and training needs and implementing the necessary training · Manage and track absenteeism, carry out return to work interviews and escalate to management instances of excessive or long term absence.The role would suit a CCAB qualified accountant looking for their first move into a Commercial environment.
Salary & Benefits
