ESX / Virtualisation Subject Matter Expert

A global market leader in trade processing and financial data and information services for top tier investment banks and hedge fund's is looking to hire a VMware/ESX subject matter expert to join their growing global infrastructure services function. The role is multidimensional and the engineer will be involved in the design, build, document and maintenance/support of ESX 4.x/5 clusters in a customer facing environment. The engineer will also have the opportunity to be involved in the design, build, maintenance and support of Linux (RHEL & OEL) systems globally.
Key Skills:
* VMWare/ESX - 4.x / 5 clusters - Design/Deployment/Administration
* Linux - Red Hat (4/5/6)
This role requires the engineer to be highly analytical, with the ability to prioritise production, client facing and engineering issues. The company is a technologically driven organisation so this role will give a technologist with good client and business facing skills the opportunity to help define standards and help support a business critical financial services infrastructure.
