A more challenging role
By providing an interface between Nationwide's Transformation teams delivering a portfolio of programmes and projects and the Operational Risk team, you'll provide essential support to the Head of Customer and Transformation Risk Oversight.
You and the wider Transformation Risk Oversight team will be contributing to the design and on-going improvement of transformation risk management policies, practices and methodologies.
Build close working relationships with risk practitioners and stakeholders and support growing capability and maturing risk transformation risk practices within 1st line teams
Facilitate, manage and deliver high quality assessments/reviews of portfolio transformation risks, risk management practices, performance of 1st line key control functions and provide effective reporting to inform and influence executive decision making.
You will attend a number of Transformation Risk Oversight Management Forums, Programme and Project Boards and other governance bodies and will play an integral role in shaping and delivering transformation risk oversight across business areas and key control functions within the scope of your role.
This role will be both challenging and rewarding for the right person and will significantly impact the way Nationwide does business to ensure risks are identified and managed in an effective way to ultimately provide a base for Nationwide to return long term sustainable results for our members.
A more talented person
To join, you'll need to have prior experience working in a similar middle management role (Change Governance, Change Delivery, Audit, Operational Risk), coupled with a proven ability to exceed expectations.
You will be a confident communicator with a proven ability to influence senior stakeholders up to and including Divisional Directors. You will also have a proven track record in delivering / managing change and managing risk within an organisation and will understand the importance a risk culture brings within a large business.
