Daily tasks: -
Leading and developing the provision and use of assessment data across the School
Leading and managing the School Information Management System (SIMS)
Using appropriate software, lead the design, creation, distribution and analysis of complex strategic and operational data for a variety of audiences that identifies in school variations
Support staff in developing data handling skills that translate analysis into classroom impact on achievement and progress.
Develop, monitor and maintain the school reporting system and procedures
Ensure compliance with statutory returns, student transfer information and comparison between school data and LA/DFE data
Ensure Curriculum Assistants and Administrative Staff are supported in their use of SIMS to assist classroom practice
Skills and abilities: -
Organise work efficiently and meeting deadlines
Work independently and supervise the team
Be flexible and respond effectively to difficult situations
Communicate well with children
Be aware of sensitive information
Co-ordinate admin services
Capable of analysing data
A minimum of three years relevant school experience in administration and organisation
Sound knowledge of SIMS packages used in schools
A cleared enhanced CRB check
Understand health, safety and security issues in schools
Understand office systems, procedures and policies
Outstanding understanding of ICT and the use of Excel spreadsheets and databases
ICT certification to support word processing skills, database and spreadsheet skills
NVQ Level III or equivalent qualification in administration and organisation
