Senior Software Engineer
MyAberdeenbased Oil and Gas client require an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, maintain and provide support for all in-house software products in accordance with company procedures. This is due to ongoing expansion and will be on an initial 3 month contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, maintain and support all software products
Document all processes related to the design, development, testing and support of all software products
To liaise with clients and provide technical support as required including occasional travel to client to provide onsite diagnosis
Liaise with Software Support and Well Operations to provide support, transfer and share knowledge
Maintain automated build and continuous integration systems
To provide technical support to junior software developers
To be able to provide accurate estimates and statement
of progress for feedback to the development manager
Key Skills:
Educated to degree level (preferably Geology)
Good technical report writing and design documentation skills
Be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of C++, C#, SQL, Microsoft Net Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio
Excellent communication skills
