THE PROJECT:

An Electronics business who are well recognised and have offices globally require an Electronic FPGA Engineer with Verilog programming experience to join the Electronics and Firmware team for an initial 6 month contract. With the current project workload it is likely the contract will extend past the initial period.

You will be required to join a team working on a controls system, designing and programming communication interfaces to bespoke equipment. You will be tasked with working on 4 different boards.

You will write the interface in Verilog. Verilog experience is therefore highly desirable, but if you are strong in VHDL this will be considered. Strong communication protocol experience such as high speed Ethernet is beneficial.

Having experience designing with Altera, Actel and Xilinx FPGA devices would make you well suited to this project work.

You should have worked the full project lifecycle, doing both design and validation tasks.

Due to this project being in a safety critical environment, having worked in high reliability environment such as Aerospace, Automotive or Nucleur etc would be advantageous for you.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
FPGA skills (ideally experience with Altera, Actel and Xilinx FPGA devices)
Verilog programming (VHDL programming will be considered)
Good communication and team player attitude
Full lifecycle experience (design to validation)
Ability to work to project deadlines

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
DSP experience
Communication protocol experience (ideally high speed Ethernet)
Safety Critical environment experience
