Production Management
- Provide direct supervision of factory operatives covering Machine shop, Assembly, Warehouse and Powder Coating Plant (16 direct reports)
- Liaise with the planning department to develop and implement the weekly production schedule utilizing the existing Kanban/MRP systems
- Monitor materials supply chain to ensure sufficient stocks are maintained using established fulfillment methods whilst liaising with the planning department
- Monitor and control overtime working, attendance and holidays
- Control of general costs to ensure they are kept within budget
- Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Support Services to develop and implement Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology
- Work in conjunction with the Engineering Department to ensure NPD&I projects are implemented to production effectively
- Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the facility
- Communicate production, quality issues, new processes and topics using monthly toolbox talks to shop floor operatives
- Maintain in-house training plans for shop floor operatives
- Building security (opening and locking up) as appropriate when required
