The Company

Robert Half Finance and Accounting is pleased to be working with a fast growing telecommunications business in Reading who is seeking a junior entry Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing finance team based in Reading.

The Role

The Accounts Payable Clerk will Ensure the accurate, timely and continuous end to end processing of assigned Accounts Payable invoicing and payment transactions, ensuring supplier invoices are processed and paid in accordance with company guidelines. support the EMEA Finance team where necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the finance function in assisting the business to meet its profitability and growth objectives. The Accounts Payable Clerk's main responsibilities will include the set-up and maintain Supplier Accounts in the accounting system, coding, batching and entering of supplier invoices onto accounts system, obtain relevant authorisation for payment of invoices, set up regular payment runs in bank for settlement of invoices due, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. The Accounts Payable Clerk will also be responsible for the reconciliation of purchase ledger accounts against supplier statements, filing all documents according to status of processing, resolve invoice discrepancies with both internal and external parties and all monthly reconciliation of AP ledgers.The Accounts Payable Clerk will have Previous experience in a finance role, will be methodical, attentive to detail and ability to process large volume of transactions, also have the ability to organise, prioritise and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines and have strong communication skills.

Salary & Benefits

The Salary for this role is between £18,000-£22,000 with pension and Healthcare.
