Job Title: Software Engineer

Department: AD Development

Main Purpose of the Job: To work on development projects using embedded software.

Working for a multinational company within a technically very strong team you will have a very strong influence on the way development is shaped speaking with the board of directors additionally.

Main Tasks of the Job:

1. Design, code and test and debug software for AD Product range using embedded software.


  • Assist in the commissioning of hardware through the provision of software routines.


  • Maintenance of existing designs.


  • Technical assessment of competitor product.


  • Assessment and prototyping of new technologies.


  • Ensuring designs are correctly stored, archived and that traceability is maintained.


  • Reporting progress against objectives to the Senior Developer.


  • Producing interim, beta and production releases of software.

    • Knowledge and Skills:

    Strong Java

    JNI

    Working knowledge of C, C++

    Robust Design Techniques

    Debugging Techniques

    TCP/IP

    Following advantageous:

    Video/Audio

    MPEG4/JPEG compression technologies

    FFMPEG

    Development of tool kits
