My client based in Wendover, Bucks, are looking for a Linux Hosting Engineer for an initial 6 month contract that is likely to go permanent. The initial contract will be paying up to £30 per hour for the successful candidate with a permanent salary of between £35- £42k.
The client have a vastly increasing team and the successful candidate would be involved in a mixture of BAU and project work. The candidate will be working within the web hosting team and working on linux and applcation servers and well as working on between 3-5 projects on the go.
The essential skills required are:
Extensive Linux administration experience (Debian Desirable)
Exposure to Web Technologies, Primarilly IIS + Apache
Troubleshooting and fault location resolution experience
Desirble:
Understanding of Java, PHP, Mysql and Perl
VMware virtualisation administration
Broad experience of office infrastructure support- Network, hardware, telephony
