Tring School in Hertfordshire seeks to appoint a committed, dynamic and enthusiastic teacher to join our forward looking Science department. You will have a passion for your subject and be able to inspire young people across all key stages to exceed expectations in this highly successful school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding teacher to work with well motivated students and make a real difference.
The Science department is staffed by 12 science teachers most of whom teach the full range of age and ability within the school as well as four experienced laboratory technicians and administrative support assistants. The department is housed in a purpose-built block, comprising of 11 full size laboratories, all serviced from preparation rooms close by. Currently this enables almost all Science lessons to be taught in laboratories with a focus on practical work.
The last Ofsted report stated that "Students obviously enjoy coming to school…They adopt positive attitudes to learning and behave well in lessons and around the school."
The successful candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Specialism in Science
- Ability to teach KS3 and 4 as well as A level
- Have a proven ability to inspire and motivate all pupils
- Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
- Be passionate about the highest standard of teaching and learning
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
