Manufacturing Company looking for a Quality Engineer within the North East region
Our client requires a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to be responsible for bringing the companies products into volume manufacturing. The role will involve management and operational responsibility for the New Product Introduction (NPI) and developing / maintaining the plan for achieving volume production including budget. Managing prototype capabilities will be part of the role as well as continuously assessing opportunities for production cost improvement. Reporting on the manufacturing status to senior management will be a critical part of the role.
Metal surface treatment would also be essential but not compulsory.
Required skills include;
-Excellent NPI engineering skills
-Wireless product knowledge (preferably microwave communications equipment)
-Familiarity with ISO9000/ISO9001 and ERP
-Excellent communication skills
-Problem solving 8D,5S,A3,Lean
-ISO14001/AS9100
This is a 12 month contract with an hourly rate of £30-£34
