My client is a financially backed and fast-growing startup in Dublin, centrally located. They are changing the way in which a very large industry operates and communicates. They add value by creating a way in which the key industry players can collaborate and share information with each other.
They are looking to hire a System Architect / CTO to join their existing front end mobile and web team to compose a development plan on their backend structure and deliver this on a secure cloud stack. They are creating a mobile app which will need web services in the backend to track and analyze data. The job entails finding a strong concept and platform to build and deploy these mobile, web and desktop solutions over the next few years.
As the System Architect / CTO, you will identify the development path and pipeline for their backend API structure and stack. You will work with the existing mobile and web OS team in order to proof their thinking of the solution and challenge any ideas there, providing more innovative and efficient solutions. You will create a user workflow study that feedbacks to their development cycle. You will assist to develop out the required web services for the mobile front end projects. You will ensure robust, scalable solutions are developed that are easily deployable across the mobile, web and desktop markets. You will meet with their global partners to understand potential solutions and how they can be integrated. You will write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and measures required to develop or modify computer scripts. You will analyse existing procedures to evaluate effectiveness and develop new systems to improve production or workflow as needed.
The role will involve some travel within Europe and to America. There will be travel to Texas for up to 3 months meeting with Clients from leading Fortune 500 Companies. All expenses will be covered.
MSc in Software Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior development role.
A minimum of 5 years technical application work experience desirable.
Some payment processing implementation experience.
A minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise scale system development.
Desirable but not essential:
Knowledge of Landmark Openworks, The Redbook, Wellsite, WITSML/ ENERGISTICS platform, Petra, Petrel beneficial.
Extensive experience in web architecture strategies including caching and performance, SEO, load distribution and fault tolerance, session management, usability, and information architecture.
