Job: Teacher of Mathematics

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated teacher to start in September, or sooner if possible. You will have a passion for your subject and be able to inspire young people across all key stages, for them to exceed expectations.
The Mathematics department is exceptionally strong, with an excellent and improving track record at KS3, GCSE and A Level, gaining 86% A*-C at GCSE in 2012. A level Maths and Further Maths are very popular choices with over 80 students selecting them for AS.
The successful applicant will be:
- Qualified to deliver the Mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 3 - 5
- Willing to contribute to the continuing improvement of teaching and learning
- Looking to use, and share with the team, creative methods for approaching topics with students
- Joining a dedicated and forward thinking team in an excellent and well-resourced department
- Supported by a team of professionals
The last Ofsted report stated that 'Students obviously enjoy coming to school…They adopt positive attitudes to learning and behave well in lessons and around the school.'
The post is suitable for either an NQT or an experienced teacher. All staff receive high quality CPD opportunities and there is a comprehensive induction programme for NQTs.
Tring School is popular and over-subscribed, serving the town of Tring and the surrounding villages. It is a mixed Church of England all-ability school, 1500 on roll, over 300 Post-16. Academic attainment is well above average and improving year on year. The school strives to support and encourage individual growth within a caring community.
